CITIZEN PARTICIPATION
PROCLAMATION
1. PROCLAMATION declaring April 23—29, 2006 as National Volunteer week.
2. PROCLAMATION declaring April 23—29, 2006, as National County Government Week.
3. PROCLAMATION declaring Tuesday, April 25, 2006, as Equal Pay Day.
4. PROCLAMATION declaring April 23—29, 2006, as Douglas County Crime Victims’ Rights week.
5. PROCLAMATION declaring April 29—May 1, 2006, as Glide Wildflower Show Days.
HEALTH AND SOCIAL SERVICES
1. Interagency agreement with Douglas Education Service District for Douglas County to provide core mental health services to students.
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
1. Order authorizing purchase of Storage Area Network (SAN) equipment to provide centralized data storage and management.
JUVENILE/IT
1. Order authorizing purchase of Camera System for Juvenile Detention/Shelter Facility from Platt Electric. This system will provide additional safety for youth and staff and assist in risk management for the department and County.
LAND
1. This is the second reading of an ordinance adding a new subsection to 12.12.180 of the Douglas County code relating to alcohol possession at land managed for park purposes near Umpqua River Lighthouse. Effective date: July 18, 2006.
PARK
1. Preserving Oregon Grant Agreement #PO-05-06: This grant will enable the painting of the exterior and roof of the Lighthouse, Coast Guard Museum and Maintenance Shop.
2. Staff requested an application from the Division of State Lands to manage and maintain a parcel of land adjacent to the Crab Dock for recreation purposes. The previous license expired in 1991. The lease will allow the county to place a public restroom near the crab dock for park users.
PLANNING
1. “Order Setting Hearing Date” and “Notice of a Public Hearing” for annexation of property to the Douglas County Fire District No. 2. Chief Petitioner: Lander. The petition has qualified under ORS 198.857, annexation without election by petition of landowner. The signature of the property owner of the proposed annexation has been verified. There are no known objectors at this time. The hearing date can be set for May 24, 2006.

The petition has qualified under ORS 198.857, annexation without election by petition of landowner. The signature of the property owner of the proposed annexation has been verified. PUBLIC WORKS
1. Contract with Umpqua Research to provide landfill monitoring analyses.
2. Second extension of Amendment to Farm Lease with Friebel Cattle Company.
3. First extension and modification of agreement with Willamette Graystone to provide septage tanks for Glide-Idleyld Sewerage System.
4. Sixth extension of Leachate Treatment agreement contract number 14831 with Roseburg Urban Sanitary Authority (RUSA) to accept leachate from Roseburg Landfill.
SHERIFF
1. Agreement for law enforcement services to be provided to the City of Drain by the Douglas County Sheriff’s office.
