Confluence Festival - February 12-13, 2016 The Reedsport/Winchester Bay Chamber of Commerce hosts this annual Beer, Wine and Seafood Festival at the Reedsport Community Center. This is a great event to enjoy multiple live bands, beer and seafood from local vendors and fresh seafood from a variety of restaurants around town.

Spring Whale Watching - Late March Whales begin their northern migration in March. The Umpqua River Whale Watching Station near the Umpqua Lighthouse is the best place to scout for migrating gray whales. During the 2014 Spring Whale Watching Week this location had the highest number of whale sightings of all the 26 whale watching stations on the Oregon Coast. Volunteers staff the station during whale watching week to help you spot the whales. The station includes a viewing platform, coin-operated telescopes, and interpretive signage.

Reedsport Farmers Market - May through October Each Friday from 9 a.m.to 3 p.m.at the corner of 5th Street and Winchester Avenue in Reedsport. The market provides a great selection of local organic, certified naturally grown fruits and vegetables. As well as fresh baked bread, salsa, chocolate, humus, local eggs, fair trade raw honey, and art and craft vendors.
Chainsaw Sculpting Championships - June 16-19, 2016 Father's Day Weekend Professional chainsaw sculpture carvers from around the world gather at Rainbow Plaza in Reedsport for the Oregon Divisional Chainsaw Sculpting Championships. The main event takes "Art to the Extreme" with hours of carving large sculptures and daily timed "quick-carve" events. Come and meet the artists and enjoy super sales on carvings. This is a great way to spend Father's Day on the coast!

Dune Fest - July 27-31, 2016 This 5-day event draws thousands of ATV enthusiasts to Winchester Bay, the heart of the Oregon Dunes. Events include drag races, challenges and more. In addition to all the action on the sand, you'll find ATV vendor booths, food, music and exhibitions featuring the latest products and vehicles. Some spectacular "show" buggies and quads are also on display and sale.
Oregon Lighthouse Week - August 6, 7 & 8 Plan to visit and tour the Umpqua Lighthouse and the Umpqua Lighthouse Museum. The Umpqua Lighthouse is the only lighthouse on the West Coast with red in its beam. It's a beautiful sight to see the red and white beams at night. May through October: Open daily from 10am to 4:30pm. November through April: Days and hours vary. Museum Admission: Free. Old Time Fiddlers District 5 - Fiddle on the Beach - August 11-14 Musicians from all over Pacific Northwest and Northern California will be singing and playing fiddles, guitars, banjos and mandolins at the Grange Hall, the Gazebo, camp grounds and on the docks around town. Get ready to hear a wide variety of music including country, Cajun, swing, bluegrass, folk, waltzes and old time tunes. Open jam sessions, concerts at the Grange Hall at 6:00pm. Kool Coastal Nights - August 19-20 The burn-out is back! The fun starts on Friday and continues through Saturday. The cars are powdered and permed for the Show 'n Shine and Parade of Champions. Art by the Bay - September - Labor Day Weekend Artists from all over Oregon will be participating in their crafts. During the Annual Art by the Bay you will have a chance to see styles & skills of Potters, Painters, Carvers, Jewelry and more. You will be able to observe artists sketching all that Winchester Bay has to offer. This Event is sponsored by Friends of Winchester Bay and The Winchester Bay Merchants Association. S.T.E.P. Salmon Derby - September 3-4, 2016 - Labor Day Weekend Sponsored by Gardiner/Reedsport S.T.E.P. (Salmon Trout Enhancement Program) this event is timed to coincide with the fall Chinook salmon run. Daily prizes awarded for the biggest salmon. Local tackle shops have registration forms and rules.
Tsalila Education Days - September TBD Pronounced Sa-Lee-La, this festival is part entertainment, part education, lots of fun and both free and open to the public. Centered downtown at the Umpqua River and Discovery Center with activities focused on watershed restoration and salmon recovery. This free family event is to celebrate the return of the salmon to the Umpqua River and the wonderful natural and cultural resources in the Umpqua watershed. Have fun at the river box, find your way through the maze, listen to the music of Joe Ross and Friends, eat a delicious dinner, make a tule duck, listen to a guest speaker and explore the Umpqua Discovery Center for half-off admission "there's something for everyone."
Holiday Bazaar - December 4-5, 2016 Reedsport Community Building located at 451 Winchester Avenue. The bazaar features art, crafts, food, gifts, and collectibles of the “handcrafted, homemade, and homegrown” variety. Gray whales travel south in the winter from the cold waters of the Bering Sea to the lagoons of Mexico to breed and give birth and return north in the spring.
