The agenda will include: 1) HY-MT ROCK, LLC, request for a Comprehensive Plan Amendment to add a site to the Douglas County Mineral Resources Inventory and to permit mining of the site, and a Zone Change to apply the Mineral Resources Overlay to the mining site, located on the north side of Gazley County Road. Continued from the August 17, 2006 Meeting. 2) Brett Whitaker, request for a Zone Change from Suburban Residential to Single Family Residential on a .60 acre parcel to allow future development of the property at the R-1 density, located on the west side of Lookingglass Road. 3) Beacon Advertising, request for a Comprehensive Plan Amendment from Commercial to Industrial and a concurrent Zone Change from Rural Community Commercial to Rural Community Industrial on a 0.50 acre parcel to allow the placement of a freeway-oriented advertising sign (billboard) on the site, located off of Deer Hollow Lane at I-5 Exit 148 within the Rural Community of Rice Hill. 4. Michael R. Moeller, request for a Comprehensive Plan Amendment from Tourist Commercial to Committed - 5 Acre and a concurrent Zone Change from Rural Commercial to Rural Residential-5 on a 6.22 acre parcel, located on the north side of North Umpqua Highway. 5) James W. & Karen Sue Pittman, request for a Comprehensive Plan Amendment from Low Density Residential to Medium Density Residential and a concurrent Zone Change from Rural Residential to Single-Family Residential on a 0.53 acre parcel, located on the west side of Little Valley Road. 6. Kruse Farms INC., request for a Comprehensive Plan Amendment to add a small scale site to the Douglas County Mineral Resources Inventory, a Conditional Use Permit to permit mining of the site, and a Zone Change to apply the Mineral Resources Overlay to the mining site itself. The proposed mining and processing site comprises 3 acres of the 95.90 acre parcel. The existing Agricultural Plan Designation and Exclusive Farm Use - Cropland zoning will remain the same. The property is located on the south side of Melrose Road.
