Pathways to Healthy Communities

Douglas County Public Health Promotion works to mobilize communities to take action to promote health and prevent disease. We work with community partners to address the leading risk factors for chronic disease.

Click here to download the LiveWell Douglas County flyer to learn more about what our community is doing to promote health and prevent disease.

There is a growing awareness of the ways that community conditions impact individual health and the health of entire communities.  What does a healthy, active Douglas County look like to you? Pathways to Healthy Communities is intended to serve as a catalyst to inspire and mobilize communities to work together to make Douglas County a healthy place to live, work, learn and play.

For more information about what you can do to create a healthy community, visit the national Healthy Communities Program.
