American Association of Retired Persons (AARP)
Referral service for programs and services offered from the National AARP organization; including lectures, films, “55 Alive” Driver Safety Program, pharmacy advantages and AARP-sponsored insurance.

Serves disabled Oregonians under age 65 through medical assistance, food stamps, in-home care, adult foster care, nursing home, assisted living, residential care facility, and referral to adult protective services.

Friendly Kitchen/Meals on Wheels
Lunches to elderly, homebound and disabled. Seniors or non-seniors who wish to attend may bring their children. If under 60, must have case manager approval.

Nursing Homes
Support program for people and their families for short and long term care. Professional and volunteer services provided in home and support in nursing home. Services include professional nursing, transportation assistance, and short- term respite care.

Reedsport Family Resource Center
Connects people of coastal Douglas County to the information and services they need and enables organizations to more efficiently serve this area. Services currently available are DHS Self-Sufficiency Program, Oregon Health Plan applications, business development, DMV forms, mental health counseling, Umpqua Training and Employment; Child Support Enforcement, Senior Health Insurance Benefits Assistance (SHIBA), various support groups, tax forms and more.
Resource information for food, clothing, health care, childcare, legal assistance, jobs, financial assistance, housing, transportation, and energy assistance. Connects people who have household items to donate with those who are in need of basics such as beds, tables, bedding, etc. Meeting rooms and office space available.

Seniors Escorting Seniors, Inc.
Wheelchair-accessible transportation to Riddle Community Center (Senior Center) for hot meals and socializing available three days a week. Transportation to medical appointments, bank, grocery shopping, prescription pick-up, post office, and various other errands available five days a week. Rides should be scheduled 24 hours in advance.
