Family Development Center/Douglas County Relief Nursery
Child abuse prevention and intervention services for children and parents that includes therapeutic, low-ratio early childhood program, play therapy, USDA food program, and early intervention ECSE for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years. Parents receive parenting education, counseling, parent support group, day and evening classes, advocacy and referral services, parent/child interaction groups, transportation assistance, outreach program services, respite care, and clothes closet.

Information and referral helpline, free literature about MS and MS treatments. Lending Library of books and videotapes, educational programs, teleconferences. Self-support groups, peer counselors, exercise and fitness programs, neurologist’s referral list, medical equipment loan program, respite care program. Umpqua Valley disAblitiies/Lifespan Respite
Advocacy for people with developmental disabilities and respite care. Referral service for care providers for children and adults with special needs. Requests are taken for a few hours up to one month. Care can be done in the home or out in the community, day or night, to allow the primary caregiver a break to take care of business, go shopping, enjoy a movie or get some much-needed rest.
