Boys & Girls Club of the Umpqua Valley – Roseburg
Education, recreation, and sports
programs for school age youth; homework assistance, computer
lab, tutoring, games and activities. Transportation to the
program is available in the Roseburg school district; parents
arrange for transportation home. Serve "snupper" every
afternoon at 3:30 PM (large snack, small supper).

Winston Area Learning Center
After school program with certified teachers and assistants along
with various community partners offers enrichment programs in math
and reading to Winston-Dillard School District students in third -
sixth grades.

YMCA - Central Douglas
Adult Physical Program - Fitness classes: Land and water aerobics, moderate
exercise, fitness testing, racquetball, weight training, and basketball.
Youth Programs – The YMCA believes in the many benefits of youth
participating in sports. Winning involves improved skills, team skills, a feeling of
play that is fair, and greater confidence. Programs include: baseball, basketball,
soccer, tennis, weight training, racquetball, gymnastics, Halloween party, New
Year’s Overnighter and Teen Leadership Development.
After School Summer School – Age Child Care – After-school program 5 days a
week. Supervised recreation, arts, crafts, activities, snacks, and a safe
environment for children whose parents work. Summer program includes 12
weeks of supervised swimming, field trips, arts and crafts, friendship clubs, and
games for 6 to 12 year olds.
Preschool Child Care – Full day care for working parents with preschool and pre-
kindergarten children; a program to enhance the child’s intellectual, social,
emotional, and physical growth. Creative play and movement recreation. Offers
swim lessons and Fit & Fun Program to improve strength, balance, coordination,
and body awareness for any child 2 ˝ to 12 years old.
Aquatics Programs – Aquatics for parent/child, preschool, 6 – 12 year old, adults,
handicapped, senior citizens arthritis exercise, masters swim, basic water safety,
lifesaving, kayak, public and private lessons.
