MINUTES of the board meeting of August 6, 2003 to be approved.
HEARING
1. Hearing to remand the i.e. Engineering for Heavens Gate Ranch request for a Destination Resort/Subdivision at the Metz Hill/I-5 interchange area north of Oakland. Planning Department File No. 02-183.
CLERKS
1. Contract with Ryder Election Services, LLC for ballot printing services. Ballot printing services are exempt from competitive procurement under LCRB rule 3.22.
HEALTH AND SOCIAL SERVICES
1. Intergovernmental agreement with Oregon State Department of Human Services, which will provide for matching funds in the amount of $142,600 per year for Medicaid Case Management.
HUMAN RESOURCES
1. Order appointing Patty Hitt and Cindy Mahaffey to the Employee Benefits Committee.
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
1. Contract with Election System & Software, Inc for elections system software and hardware upgrades. Contract price is $58,500 and provides for ongoing maintenance services.
PARK
1. Easement from Sutherlin Water Control District for pressurized plumbing lines for new restroom facility at the west end of Cooper Creek Reservoir.
2. Modification to lease for ATV storage building site. On June 18, 2003 the board signed a lease allowing Winchester Bay Rural Fire Protection District to construct and temporarily locate an ATV storage building on County Park land near the mouth of the Umpqua River. All parties have agreed to change the location in order to reduce the visibility of the structure from Salmon Harbor Drive.
PLANNING
1. Orders reappointing Gerald Portnell and Thomas Hedgepeth to the Committee for Citizen Involvement. Terms to expire August 13, 2006.
PUBLIC WORKS
1. Order accepting easement from Carl and Brenda Ekstrom for connection to the Glide-Idleyld Park sewer system.
SHERIFF
1. Lease agreement with Rex Crume for a term of 50 years. This tower will assist in providing radio communications to the Tiller area. County agrees to furnish two, 200 amp service, and one transformer for Crume Ranch Inc.
MISCELLANEOUS
1. Order appointing John Herbst, representing Tribes on the Umpqua Basin Watershed Council. Term to expire June 30, 2005.
2. Order appointing Ed Frankenstein representing Fishing, Recreation, and Conservation on the Umpqua Basin Watershed Council. Term to expire June 30, 2004.
3. Order appointing Jack Gibbs, Don Ollivant (representing Timber, Aggregate, Construction, and Mining), Leonard Schussel, Stan Vejtasa (representing Fishing, Recreation, and Conservation) and Vic Cangie (representing Douglas County) to the Umpqua Basin Watershed Council. Terms to expire June 30, 2005.
