MINUTES of the board meeting of July 2, 2003, to be approved.
BID OPENINGS
1. Request for proposal No. 827 for marquis display system for the fairgrounds.
2. Realignment of Temple Brown County Road No. 137 from milepost 0 to 0.1.
HEARINGS
1. Petition for annexation of property to the Winston-Dillard Water District. Chief petitioner is Richard Castle.
2. Petition for annexation of property to the Green Sanitary District. Chief petitioner is J.D. Dillingham.
3. Petition for annexation of property to the Green Sanitary District. Chief petitioner is Tim Foley.
BUILDING FACILITIES
1. Second and final extension of contract No. 16158 with Sims Electric, Inc. for electrical services for Building Facilities and other departments’ use on an “as needed” basis.
COMMISSION ON CHILDREN AND FAMILIES
1. Intergovernmental and partnership agreement with the Oregon Commission on Children and Families for the 2003-2005 biennium. This agreement reflects 90 days of funding available through a continuing resolution. An amendment, reflecting the full biennial allocation, will be issued when there is a legislatively approved budget.
2. Amendment to contract No. 16368 for Options Counseling Services of Oregon. This amendment provides an additional $37,356 and extends the current contract until December 31, 2003.
FAIRGROUNDS
1. Agreement with the Cow Creek Band of Umpqua Tribe of Indians for use of “Starlite Theatre” property as a public parking lot and pick up and return point for county fair buses. There is no consideration for use of property.
HEALTH AND SOCIAL SERVICES
1. Contract with International Pathology Associates, Inc. to provide laboratory services and supplies for processing and screening of lab smear specimens. Contract price is $30,000 for the fiscal year.
LAND
1. Right of way easement to PacifiCorp to allow for the moving of a power pole on Madrone Street near the entrance to the county health center.
PUBLIC WORKS
1. Sales agreement with Green Diamond Sand Products in the amount of $4.26 per ton for purchase of mine slag byproducts.
2. Order accepting deed of dedication from Old School Office, Inc., for the acquisition of real property for the widening and realignment of North Stephens Street, County Road No. 388.
3. Real estate option and order accepting special warranty deed from Avista Corporation for the acquisition of real property for the widening and realignment of Old Pacific Highway, County Road No. 386. Consideration is $500.
SHERIFF
1. Contract with Dr. James Olson to provide services to Sheriff’s Office as a board certified pathologist to act as the county medical examiner in accordance with the provisions of Oregon Revised Statutes.
2. Annual communications services agreement with North Douglas Fire District in the amount of $2,572 per quarter.
3. ATV grant agreement for enforcement of ATV laws and regulations and patrol of recreational areas including Oregon Dunes.
