MINUTES of the board meeting of July 6, 2005 to be approved.

COMMISSION ON CHILDREN AND FAMILIES

1. Intergovernmental agreement with the Oregon Commission on Children and Families for the 2005-07 biennium. Agreement reflects 30 days of funding available through continuing resolution.

LAND

1. Aerial spraying contract with Western Helicopter Services, Inc. for spraying on 172 acres of county owned land. Cost is $34.84 per acre.

MANAGEMENT AND FINANCE

1. Resolution establishing a Workers’ Compensation Loss Reserve Account.

PUBLIC WORKS

1. Order accepting a warranty deed from Ronald and Anita Poteet for the acquisition of right of way to be used for the widening and realignment of Little Valley Road.

2. Order accepting easement from EBMP and Lawyers Exchange-Caron Young, LLC for connection to the Glide-Idleyld Park sewer system.

3. Contract with Mowat Construction Company for E-Mile Creek Bridge Replacement. Contract amount is $867,093.

4. Contract with Roseburg Paving Company for reconstruction of Little Valley Road. Contract amount is $959,672.75.

5. Contract with Roseburg Paving Company for Driver Valley/Elkhead Road Intersection. Contract amount $48,687.50.

6. Contract change order with Fought and Company, Inc., in the amount of $17,403, for purchase of steel superstructure for E-Mile Creek Bridge replacement.

SHERIFF

1. Scott Mountain tower lease with Roseburg Resources Company to complete the Emergency Radio Communications System route.

2. Letter amending the lease with Charter Communications authorizing Douglas County to allow wireless cellular use of the Yoncalla communications site.

3. Amendment to interagency agreement for the Homeland Security Exercise that OEM is funding. This modification allows for $8,663 additional funds and extends the contract to September 30, 2005.

4. Emergency Response Training Subgrant agreement to reimburse WEST Ambulance for participation in the disaster response exercise on June 11, 2005.

MISCELLANEOUS

1. Order appointing George Middlekauff and Cassi Brown to the Mental Health Advisory Committee. Terms to expire January 31, 2007.

2. Order appointing Don Brown to the Mental Health Advisory Committee. Term to expire January 31, 2008.

3. Order appointing Gaylyn Bradley, Clem Dewart, and John Markovich to the Museum Advisory Committee. Terms to expire June 30, 2008.

4. Order reappointing Sandra Jackson to the Douglas County Budget Committee. Term to expire June 30, 2008.

5. Order reappointing Sandra Jackson to the Douglas County Compensation Board. Term to expire June 30, 2008.

6. Order appointing members to the Riddle Rural Fire District Board of Directors.
