MINUTES of the board meeting of June 8, 2005 to be approved.


1. Sale of recycled material consisting of ground yard waste and ground wood waste from the Douglas County Landfill.

2. Request for quotations for computer, printer, and telephone services.


1. Final hearing for annexation of property and order incorporating territory in the Green Sanitary District. Chief petitioner Atterbury.

2. Public hearing to discuss the 2005-06 Budget as approved by the Douglas County Budget Committee on May 17, 2005.


1. Orders refunding taxes to the following:

1. Amendment to contract with the State of Oregon Department of Human Services in the amount of $50,883.03 on behalf of the Community Safety Net program, which is administered by Umpqua Community Action Network’s Family Connections program.

2. Extension of federal funds in the amount of $18,189 to support the Multi-Systemic Therapy program for youth who are chronically acting out or are victims of neglect.


1. Modification of contract with Attorney Jill Dinse to increase contract limit from $25,000 to $35,000 and to extend contract period to June 30, 2005.


1. Road use permit with Pacific West Timber Company, LLC for use of a county forest road near Reedsport.

2. Letter renewing the memorandum of understanding between Douglas County and the Oregon State Department of Forestry for Douglas County’s Woodlands Assistance Forester position. Renewal is for one year beginning July 1, 2005.


1. Order reappointing Michael Wetherell to the Callahan Planning Advisory Committee (PAC). Term to expire July 24, 2008.

2. Orders reappointing Stephen Mountainspring to the Douglas PAC, Susan Applegate to the Elk Creek PAC, Joyce O’Day to the South Umpqua PAC (Terms to expire May 29, 2008) and Sharon Lozano to the South Umpqua PAC (Term to expire July 24, 2008), and Carol Cushing to the North Umpqua PAC (Term to expire July 21, 2008).


1. Order accepting easement from John Alley for connection to the Glide-Idleyld Park sewer system.

2. Order accepting easement from Daniel and Janet Klahn, for connection to the Glide-Idleyld Park sewer system.

3. Amended order accepting warranty deed and real estate option from Danny and Carol Ellington for the widening and realignment of Little Valley Road. Consideration is $8,280, plus escrow fees.
