MINUTES of the board meeting of May 7, 2003, to be approved.
PROCLAMATION declaring the week of May 18 – 24, 2003 as Emergency Medical Services Week.
BID OPENINGS
1. Removal of deer carcasses from county roads.
2. Overlay of Melrose Road.
3. Reconstruction of North Stephens Street and construction of the Non-profit Campus Road.
4. Bid No. 824 for water piping replacement project in the justice building.
5. Bid No. 825 for courthouse re-roofing.
ADULT PAROLE AND PROBATION
1. Renewal of contract with Correctional Evaluation & Treatment, Inc. for sex offender treatment services.
LAND
1. Quitclaim deed to School District #4. Affects a property adjacent to Military Avenue and within the city of Roseburg. There is no consideration.
2. Resolution declaring that the acquisition of certain property for the reconstruction of the intersection of Fort McKay County Road #9 and State Highway 138W is in the public interest.
3. Resolution declaring that the acquisitions of certain properties for the widening and realignment of Melrose-Flournoy County Road #51 is in the public interest.
PUBLIC WORKS
1. Order awarding contract to Interlocking Deck Systems International in the amount of $62,505 for procurement of steel grid bridge decking.
2. Contract with Roseburg Paving Company in the amount of $230,675.10 for overlay of Tiller-Trail Highway, milepost 3.1 to 4.0.
3. Real estate option and order accepting a warranty deed from Nordic Plywood, Inc. for acquisition of right of way to be used for the widening and realignment of Temple Brown County Road #137.
MISCELLANEOUS
1. Orders appointing Tom Hedgepeth to the Coastal Planning Advisory Committee and Gerald Portnell to the South Umpqua Planning Advisory Committee.
2. Orders reappointing the following Planning Advisory Committee members:
Fred Becker – North Umpqua
Debbie Williams – Coastal
Joe Coons – Elk Creek
Alice Christel – Callahan
Clem Dewart – Cow Creek
3. Order setting hearing date of June 18, 2003 and notice of public hearing for annexation of property to the Oakhill Sanitary District. Chief petitioner is Sherril Wells.
