COMMISSIONER’S COMMENTS
CITIZEN PARTICIPATION
PROCLAMATION
1. Proclamation for National Nurses Week, May 6th through 12th, 2006.
ASSESSMENT AND TAXATION
1. Orders refunding taxes to the following: John P. and Linda J. Hicks, $500.35; Umpqua Acres, LLC., $2,548.25; and, Cagle Communications, Inc., $321.87.
HEALTH
1. Agreement with Caremark PCS Health L. P., which is a managed pharmacy benefit service for prescription discount cards.
HUMAN RESOURCES
1. Amendments No. 1 and No. 2 to an Agreement with BenefitHelp Solutions to provide Section 125 services. Amendment No. 1 defines their security obligations, and Amendment No. 2 officially changes the name from BestChoice Administrators, to BenefitHelp Solutions.
PLANNING
1. Hearing for “Annexation of Property” and “Order Incorporating Territory” to the Douglas County Fire District No. 2 by Chief Petitioner: Fummerton. This petition has qualified under ORS 198.857, having the signatures of 100% of the property owners of the single parcel of land proposed to be annexed. There are no known objectors at this time.
2. Hearing for “Annexation of Property” and “Order Incorporating Territory: to the Douglas County Fire District No. 2 by Chief Petitioner: LaLande. This petition has qualified under ORS 198.857, having the signatures of 100% of the property owners of the single parcel of land proposed to be annexed. There are no known objectors at this time.
3. Hearing for “Annexation of Property” and “Order Incorporating Territory” to the Glide Rural Fire Protection District by Chief Petitioner: Kennaday. This petition has qualified under ORS 198.857, having the signatures of 100% of the property owners of the single parcel of land proposed to be annexed. There are no known objectors at this time.
SHERIFF
1. Resolution for formal adoption of the National Incident Management System.

NEXT MEETING: The next meeting will be held on May 17, 2006, at 10:00 a.m., in Room 216 of the Douglas County Courthouse, Roseburg, Oregon.
