MINUTES of the board meeting of April 2, 2003, to be approved.
BID OPENING
1. Bid No. 822 for one, new three axle pull trailer with tilt frame system.
PROCLAMATION declaring the week of April 13 – 19, 2003 as Public Safety Telecommunicators Week in Douglas County.
PROCLAMATION declaring the week of April 7 – 13, 2003 as National Public Health Week.
PROCLAMATION declaring the month of April as National Drug Court Month.
HEARINGS
1. First reading on Ordinance No. 03-4-1 amending Chapter 2.16 of the Douglas County Code in regards to the delegation of authority for the Industrial Development Board.
2. First reading on Ordinance No. 03-4-2 concerning public services contracts.
COMMISSION ON CHILDREN AND FAMILIES
1. Amendment No. 1 to the Workforce Investment Action Youth Council Steps Implementation Grant. This amendment allows a change to the budget of $5,000 from hosting a youth summit as a kick-off event to having a photo contest for youth that promotes assets for the kick-off event.
HUMAN SERVICES
1. Amendment deleting the second paragraph of Personnel Rule 10.1.1 relating to reduction in force.
PLANNING
1. Delegation of authority report by Planning Director, Keith Cubic.
PUBLIC WORKS
1. Contract with Roseburg Paving Company for overlay of Pruner Road No. 20, milepost 0.4 to 0.82. Contract amount is $179,303.
2. Resolution of the acquisition of real property for the reconstruction of a portion of South Calapooia Road.
3. Cooperative improvement agreement with Oregon Department of Transportation for Bike and Pedestrian Bridge over I-5 at South Umpqua River and OR 99 (Shady).
4. Bargain and sale deed for Sable Drive Special Road District.
MISCELLANEOUS
1. Order reappointing Tracy DePew to the Hospital Facility Authority of Douglas County.
2. Oregon Community Development Block Grant contract for Regional Housing center.
