COMMISSIONER’S COMMENTS
CITIZEN PARTICIPATION
ASSESSOR
1. Annual CAFFA Grant to Oregon Department of Revenue for 2007-08 which reimburses a little less than 1/3 of County’s cost for Tax Assessment and Collection.
BUILDING FACILITIES
1. Amendment of Contract #23226 with SimplexGrinnell for the 911 call center fire suppression upgrade and extends the contract to June 30, 2007.
2. Amendment of contract #23285 with Otis Elevator Company for the upgrade of the Otis Elevator in the Courthouse and extends the contract to June 30, 2007.
COMMUNICATIONS
1. Ninth Modification of Contract with Paul Ellis for consulting services. Total payment cannot exceed $290,000.
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
1. Second Extension of Contract with Douglas Services, Inc., which provides electronic data transport services, will be extended to April 17, 2009, and increase the original amount from $25,000 to $75,000.
PARKS
1. Grant Resolution: Oregon Parks and Recreation Department requires a grant application resolution delegating the authority to apply and sign for the applications for Chief Milwaleta Campground’s restroom re-roofing.
2. Grant Resolution: Oregon Parks and Recreation Department requires a grant application resolution delegating the authority to apply and sign for the applications for Windy Cove A restroom re-roofing.
PLANNING
1. Keith Cubic will report on delegated responsibilities under his delegation of authority order, dated June 25, 1997, on behalf of the Board of Commissioners during the First Quarter of 2007.
SHERIFF
1. Amendment to Aramark Agreement to lower price of meals to inmates.
MISCELLANEOUS
1. Order reappointing Ed Stratton to the Douglas County Planning Commission. Term to expire February 28, 2011.
2. Order appointing Dave Leonard to the Douglas County Planning Commission. Term to expire February 28, 2011.

NEXT MEETING: The next scheduled meeting will be held on May 2, 2007, at 10:00 a.m., in Room 216 of the Douglas County Courthouse, Roseburg, Oregon.
