MINUTES of the board meeting of April 16, 2003, to be approved.
PROCLAMATION declaring the week of April 27 through May 3, 2003 as “National Volunteer Week” in Douglas County.
HEARING
1. Petition to annex property and order incorporating territory to the Winston-Dillard Water District. Chief petitioner is Mitchell Black.
2. Second reading on Ordinance No. 03-4-1 amending Chapter 2.16 of the Douglas County Code in regards to the delegation of authority for the Industrial Development Board.
3. Second reading on Ordinance No. 03-4-2 concerning public services contracts.
COMMISSION ON CHILDREN AND FAMILIES
1. Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention 2003 Formula Grant Award for Douglas County. Grant amount is $21,779.
2. Contract with UCAN for their Family Connections Program for fiscal year 2002-2003 to administer the Childhood Care and Education Project (which provides specialized training for child care providers) on behalf of the Douglas County Early Childhood Planning Coalition. Contract amount is $6,900.
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
1. Purchase of new IBM computer hardware system from SourceOne, Inc. to support the new upgraded financial system. Total purchase amount is $42,933.
PUBLIC WORKS
1. Real estate option and order accepting warranty deed from David Houde for the acquisition of right of way to be used for the widening and realignment of North Stephens County Road No. 388. Consideration is $2,800.
2. Order accepting quit claim deed and real estate option from Raymond and Kathy McNeal for the acquisition of right of way to be used for the widening and realignment of Old Pacific Highway.
3. Real estate options and orders accepting warranty deeds for the acquisition of right of way to be used for the widening and realignment of Old Pacific Highway from the following:
Rueben Olson, $4,500
Ron and Linda Piatt, $8,700
Don Johnson, $2,400
Rusty Allen and Leni Roper, $3,440 (plus escrow fees)
Michael and Jary Kelley, $12,970 (plus escrow fees)
MISCELLANEOUS
1. Order appointing Tony Lane to the Upper Cleveland Rapids Road District Board of Directors. Term to expire December 31, 2005.
2. Orders appointing and reappointing members to the CCD Business Development Board. Terms to expire May 31, 2004.
