MINUTES of the board meeting of March 26, 2003, to be approved.
PROCLAMATION to declare April 6, 2003 as National Tartan Day.
PROCLAMATION declaring the month of April as Child Abuse Prevention Month.
HEARING
1. Hearing concerning a petition for the formation of Joelson Road District. Chief Petitioners are George Gilliland and Dennis Hutchison.
ADULT PAROLE AND PROBATION
1. Amendment to the intergovernmental agreement between the State of Oregon Department of Corrections and Douglas County due to reductions in state revenues.
ASSESSMENT AND TAXATION
1. Orders refunding taxes to Douglas Medical Center, LLC in the amount of $2,620.43 and Federal Express Corp. in the amount of $4,131.30.
COMMISSION ON CHILDREN AND FAMILIES
1. Children’s Trust Fund of Oregon grant application in the amount of $40,000. This application is being made in collaboration with the Douglas County Early Childhood Planning Coalition to provide parent education classes throughout the county.
HEALTH AND SOCIAL SERVICES
1. Modification of contract for personal services with Protocall Services, Inc. to extend agreement to $35,000. Former contract amount was $25,000.
JUVENILE
1. Agreements with ADAPT to provide matching funds for a Byrne Grant to support the Juvenile Drug Court during fiscal years of 2001-2002 and 2002-2003. The commitments are for $58,030.25 and $66,667.00.
2. Amendment to extend intergovernmental agreement with the State of Oregon Department of Transportation to fund a juvenile litter crew to clean freeways in Douglas County by youth offenders working off their court ordered community service. ODOT will reimburse Douglas County up to $50,000.
LAND
1. Order of sale setting a date of May 8, 2003 for the oral auction of 13 county owned parcels that were acquired through property tax foreclosure or are deemed surplus to county needs.
2. Satisfaction of Mortgage relative to two loans from the Woodlands Assistance Program to Rolland and Carol Benson. Both loans are being paid off and the satisfaction of mortgage will clear the county’s lien from the properties used as security for the loans.
3. Amended order to accept a warranty deed from Nora Carlene Hall, who acquired title as Nora Carlene Wilkinson, for the acquisition of right of way to be used for the widening and realignment of Strader Road. Consideration is $750.
PUBLIC WORKS
1. Intergovernmental agreement with Lane County for equipment rental with operators by each agency.
2. Order authorizing maintenance of Strauss Avenue No. 901-A.
MISCELLANEOUS
1. Oregon Community Development Block Grant contract for Regional Housing Center.
2. Order and notice setting hearing date of May 21, 2003 for vacation and replat of a portion of Eastern Avenue, a platted, unimproved street contained within Cedar Hill Cemetery. Petitioners is Robert D. Stearns.
Order expanding membership of the Douglas County Special Transportation Advisory Committee from three to five members.
