MINUTES of the board meeting of April 9, 2003, to be approved.
BID OPENING
1. Overlay of Nonpareil Road milepost 1.3 to 4.4.
PROCLAMATION declaring “Support Our Troops Day” in Douglas County.
HEARING
1. First reading on Ordinance No. 03-4-3 concerning establishing a Veterans Advisory Committee in Douglas County.
COMMISSION ON CHILDREN AND FAMILIES
1. Oregon Commission on Children and Families Amendment No. 6 to grant agreement for the 2001-2003 biennium due to reductions in state revenues.
HUMAN SERVICES
1. Revisions to the health insurance retiree endorsement allowing retirees to take a PERS lump sum and still qualify for retiree group health insurance along with their dependents and adopted children.
2. Assignment of contract for administration of IRC Section 125 Plan. This assignment is a result of the sale of Manley Services to PacificSource.
JUVENILE
1. Application for Juvenile Accountability Incentive Block Grant in the amount of $49,831. This grant requires a match of $28,314, which is in the current Juvenile Department budget and funds a deputy district attorney prosecuting juvenile delinquency cases.
PUBLIC WORKS
1. Intergovernmental agreement for sidewalk improvement with the City of Myrtle Creek.
SHERIFF
1. Purchase of equipment for radio project. Agreement piggybacks off of the City of McMinnville’s contract.
2. Equipment purchase from Harris Corporation MCD for the communication tower project. Purchase made through Washington State Price Agreement.
MISCELLANEOUS
1. Orders reappointing William Watkins (term expiration February 1, 2006) and Charles Spooner (term expiration February 1, 2007) to the Glide-Idleyld Sewerage System Panel.
2. Order appointing Robert Hissong to the Salmon Habitat Advisory Committee. Term to expire January 30, 2005.
3. Resolution expanding the boundary of Roberts Creek Enterprise Zone. The boundary adjustment will add the Umpqua Dairy property and will result in the creation of additional jobs through a planned expansion of the company.
4. Oregon Community Development Block Grant contract for Regional Housing Center.
