CITIZEN PARTICIPATION
MINUTES of the board meeting of March 24, 2004 to be approved.
PROCLAMATION declaring the week of April 5–11, 2004 as “National Public Health Week” in Douglas County.
HEARING
1. Second reading of an ordinance amending Section 3.21.040 of the Douglas County Code pertaining to grant agreements for city street or bridge improvements.
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
1. Criminal justice software contract in the amount of $986,934 for upgrade to existing Tiburon computer systems. Upgrade includes Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD), Sheriff Records (RMS), District Attorney, and Jail software systems.
2. Purchase of software for GIS Mapping upgrade project in the amount of $28,560.
3. Contract with BestTel LLC in the amount of $71,798 for telephone system upgrade.
4. Renewal of software support contract with Digital Descriptor Systems, Inc. for digital mug shot system for the jail. Annual cost is $3,254.
HEALTH AND SOCIAL SERVICES
1. Order for purchase of flu vaccine for fiscal year 2004-05 through Washington State Price Agreement No. 02404. Aventis Pasteur is offering a special pre-book discount for orders placed by May 15, 2004. Net cost with discount is $42,349.80.
LAND
1. Notice setting date of April 22, 2004 for the oral auction of three county timber sales: South Winchester Creek Timber Sale No. 261, Milltown Hill Timber Sale No. 262, and North Winchester Creek Timber Sale No. 263.
PUBLIC WORKS
1. Order accepting easement from Salvatore and Lenora Aronica for connection to the Glide-Idleyld Park sewer system.
2. Extension of sales agreement with TMT-Pathway for a twelve month period for the purchase of road striping paint.
3. Extension of agreement with Waste Recovery West in the amount of $800 per trailer load or $.08 per pound for removal of waste tires from the Douglas County landfill.
4. Grant agreement with Oregon Department of Transportation in the amount of $19,830,000 for the 2003 Oregon Transportation Investment Act Local Bridge Program.
5. Contract with Roseburg Paving Company in the amount of $256,100 for crushing, hauling and stockpiling mineral aggregate at various locations.
MISCELLANEOUS
1. Order reappointing Bryan Kollen to the Overlook-Scottview Special Road District Board of Directors. Term to expire December 31, 2006.
2. Order reappointing Rosanna Hicks to the Roaring Camp Special Road District Board of Directors. Term to expire December 31, 2006.
3. Order reappointing Amber M. Johnson to the Douglas County Regional Workforce Investment Board. Term to expire December 31, 2005.
4. Order appointing Bill Swift to the Douglas County Park Advisory Board. Term to expire December 27, 2007.
