MINUTES of the board meeting of February 23, 2005 to be approved.

CITIZEN PARTICIPATION - Citizens wishing to address the commissioners concerning this agenda, or items of interest not included on this agenda, may do so at this time. When recognized, anyone addressing the commissioners will go to the microphone and give your name and address for the record.

PROCLAMATION declaring March 2005 as “Relay for Life Month”.

HEARING

1. Supplemental budget adjustments for fiscal year 2004/2005. Supplement affects General Fund, Public Safety Fund, Dog Control Fund, Capital Projects Fund and Title II & III Fund.

ASSESSMENT AND TAXATION

1. Orders refunding taxes to Commercial Equipment Lease Corp. in the amount of $1,329.86 and to John and Donna Atkinson in the amount of $641.01

FLEET SERVICES

1. Award of Bid No. 886 to Power Ford for one, new ton, four-door, four-wheel drive sports utility. Purchase amount is $25,187.

HUMAN RESOURCES

1. Contract with Willis of Eugene, Inc. for insurance agent services for employee benefit insurance. Contract amount is $2,516.35 per month.

PLANNING

1. Keith Cubic, Planning Director, will present the annual report and give an overview of planning activity in 2004.

PUBLIC WORKS

1. Award of Bid No. 872 to Brattian International Trucks for one, new 12 – 14 cubic yard dump truck. Purchase amount is $128,327.38.

2. Order accepting easement from Rebecca Guerin for connection to the Glide-Idleyld Park sewer system.

3. Order accepting warranty deed from Bruce Weldon for the acquisition of real property for the widening and realignment of South Calapooia Street. Consideration is $2,682.

4. Bargain and sale deed from Douglas County to Umpqua Community Development Corporation for a 3.52 acre parcel off Happy Valley Road. There is no consideration for this conveyance.

5. Modification of contract with Right of Way Associates for Little Valley Road. Contract amount is $8,800.

SHERIFF

1. Contract with USDA Wildlife Services to provide one part-time wildlife specialist for predatory animal control. County will pay $25,000.

MISCELLANEOUS

1. Orders appointing Dotty Randall Stapleton and Craig Jackson to the Douglas County Regional Workforce Investment Board. Terms to expire December 31, 2007.

2. Order reappointing David Jaques to the Douglas County Planning Commission. Term to expire February 28, 2009.
