MINUTES of the Board meeting held on December 23, 2009
CITIZEN PARTICIPATION FOR COMMENTS ON AGENDA ITEMS ONLY
1. PUBLIC WORKS – Accepting Reciprocal Easement Agreement
Accepting Reciprocal Easement Agreement for access to County owned property on the Costco site.
2. MISCELLANEOUS – Contract with Pacific Energy Ventures
Douglas County is studying the potential for wave energy. This proposal is to use Oregon Wave Energy Trust grant funds to study the economic feasibility and financing opportunities.
3. MISCELLANEOUS– Deliberation/Appointment to the SE Booth Avenue Special Road District
A vacancy exists on the SE Booth Avenue Special Road District due to the resignation of Megan Holbrook. The position was advertised with local media and one application was received from Ronald Pope. The Road District Commissioners recommend the appointment of Mr. Pope. If appointed, the new term will expire December 31, 2012.
4. MISCELLANEOUS – Deliberation/Reappointment to the Salmon Harbor Management Committee
A vacancy exists on the Salmon Harbor Management Committee due to the expiring term of Jim Bruce. This position is appointed by the Board of Commissioners as a County representative. The Committee recommends reappointment of Jim Bruce. If appointed the new term will expire December 31, 2012.

The next regularly scheduled Board meeting will be held January 6, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. in Room 216 of the Douglas County Courthouse, Roseburg, OR.
