MINUTES of the board meeting of October 1, 2003 to be approved.
BID OPENINGS
1. Bid opening for Radio Control Console System for Communications.
ASSESSMENT AND TAXATION
1. Order refunding taxes to Alcan Cable in the amount of $1,138.86.
COMMISSION ON CHILDREN AND FAMILIES
1. Contract with State of Oregon Department of Human Services in the amount of $15,990.21 for the period of October 1, 2003 through June 30, 2004, on behalf of the Community Safety Net Program.
2. Contract amendment with the Family Development Center. This amends the program allocation for current contract. The new allocation for fiscal year 2003-04 is $247,246.
3. Contract with CASA of Douglas County. This contract amount is $22,500 for fiscal year 2003-04.
HUMAN RESOURCES
1. Amendment order delegating authority to W. James Bruce to enter into specified contracts on behalf of Douglas County and to engage in specified activity.
LAND
1. Satisfaction of mortgage between Douglas County and Hans Meihoefer for a loan from the Woodlands Assistance Program. Loan has been paid in full, and the county lien is being removed from the property.
PLANNING
1. Coastal grant agreement to increase ability to conduct coastal planning. Grant amount for this period is $3,000 with full matching funds required.
2. Findings and order to affirm the Planning Commission decision in the matter of the Shirtcliff request for a non-farm dwelling.
PUBLIC WORKS
1. Order granting vacation of a portion of North Fork Smith River upon performance or fulfillment of conditions. Petitioners are Tommy Ursry, Ann Margaret Ursry, and Debra Ursry.
2. Order accepting easement from Ralph Patterson for connection to the Glide-Idleyld Park sewer system.
3. Personal services contract relating to determining the capacity of the Glenbrook Bridge to carry Oregon legal and overweight loads. Once complete, the findings of this contract will be applied to one other bridge and to assist in future inspections of critical elements of main load carrying elements of the bridge. Contract not to exceed $75,000.
SHERIFF
1. Contract agreement with Watson Furniture Group to purchase 911 Center furniture. Purchases are exempt from competitive procurement per LCRB rule 3.26.
2. Order awarding contracts and authorizing the purchase of VHF Radio Equipment for communications project. Purchase is being made through Oregon State Price Agreement #7264 and is exempt from competitive procurement per LCRB rule 3.25. Purchase amount is $366,553.75.
MISCELLANEOUS
1. Order appointing Richard Hayes to the Regional Investment Board. Term to expire June 30, 2005.
