MINUTES of the Board meeting held on October 24, 2012
CITIZEN PARTICIPATION FOR COMMENTS ON AGENDA ITEMS ONLY
1. COUNTY COUNSEL – Modification of Lease (Paul Meyer)
Short term extension of the Industrial Development Lease Agreement with Aldercraft for the County to evaluate a business plan. The term of the lease is extended to December 20, 2012.
2. MISCELLANEOUS – Appointments to the Douglas County Commission on Children & Families (Gillian Wesenberg)
Six vacancies exist on the Commission on Children & Families due to resignation and expired terms. The vacancies were advertised with local media and six applications were received. The Commission recommends the reappointment of Barbara Matthews, Les Esparza, Shirley Petterson and Suzy McAmis and the appointment Cindy Shirtcliff to terms that would expire June 30, 2016. They also recommend appointing Dylan Watkins into the Youth Advisory position with a term ending June 30, 2016 or graduation from high school.
3. MISCELLANEOUS – Appointment to Library Board (Doug Robertson)
A vacancy exists on the Douglas County Library Board due to the death of Bob Agee. In a recent recruitment an application was received from Nancy Erickson. The Library Board reviewed her application and unanimously agreed to recommend the appointment of Nancy Erickson to fulfill the term ending June 30, 2015.

The next regularly scheduled Board meeting will be held November 7, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. in Room 216 of the Douglas County Courthouse, Roseburg, OR.
