MINUTES of the Board meeting of October 19, 2005 to be approved.


1. Bid opening for Deadman Creek Bridge Replacement on South Umpqua Road No. 46, Douglas County, Oregon.


1. Resolution authorizing submission of a boundary amendment of the Roberts Creek Enterprise Zone. This involves removal of residential properties to allow for future expansion as needed.


1. Intergovernmental Agreement with the Department of Motor Vehicles to cover the processing of mobile home ownership documents in the LOIS System by the Assessor’s Office and the receipt of taxes by the Tax Office. The agreement sets the fee to County at $30 versus the original and current $15.


1. Contract #21641 is an ongoing agreement with Helion to provide recording support and maintenance for the Clerk’s Office. Cost is $14,750.


1. Order authorizing purchase of repairs to Caterpillar 836G Landfill Compactor by Peterson Machinery Company. Cost is $29,704.34.


1. Contract with Staff Care, Inc. to increase cap on locum tenens child psychiatrist contract. Cost is $50,0000.


1. Contract Modification #20294 with Edge Wireless to add 15 additional wireless data cards and monthly service charges for various County departments.


1. Order authorizing purchase of a special Tioga Vault Toilet Building with Chase Area from CXT Precast Concrete Products, Inc. from Washington State Price Agreement #08500. Purchase is exempt from Competitive procurement per LCRB 4.24. This will be installed at the new ATV staging area in Winchester Bay. Cost is $30,699.52.

2. Grant application administered by the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department for distribution of RV registration fees for worthy RV related projects. This application will request 50/50% matching grant funds to replace the restroom / shower facility at Windy Cove “B”. Cost is $154,440.

1. Order awarding Bid #897 to Service Trucks International for one new 33,000# GVW mechanics service truck with 11’ service body and 8,000# crane. Cost is $90,910.31.

2. Lease agreement with James R. and Nancy C. Nichols for the purchase of borrow material in the amount of $1.00 per cubic yard for the construction of road approaches for the new Scott Henry Bridge. Maximum amount is $35,000.


1. Order appointing Michael Hendricks to the Veterans’ Advisory Committee, term to expire October 26, 2007.

2. Order appointing James Pershall and Henry Russel to the Veterans’ Advisory Committee, term to expire October 26, 2007.

3. Order reappointing Gerald Portnell to the Veterans’ Advisory Committee, term to expire October 26, 2007.
