MINUTES of the board meeting of October 12, 2005 to be approved.
BID OPENING
1. Bid #903 for one new compact 4 wheel drive, 4 door sport utility vehicle.
HEARING
1. First hearing on Ordinance No. 2005-10-1 in the matter of adopting Douglas County Code Section 2.32.040 to prohibit taking property for private use. If approved, a second hearing date will be set.
LAND
1. Order accepting a Quit Claim Deed from the Bureau of Land Management. This involves an interest in timber within a road easement across a county owned property at Milltown Hill. There is no consideration.
PUBLIC WORKS
1. Change order with Beckley Excavation and Utility decreasing the contract in the amount of $39,750 for the Scott Henry Bridge approach embankment.
2. Real Estate Option and order accepting a Warranty Deed from Scott Woodruff and Pamela Woodruff-Graf for acquisition of right of way to be used for the widening and realignment of Fort McKay County Road No. 9 and the replacement of the Scott Henry Bridge. Consideration is $5,250.
SHERIFF’S OFFICE
1. Agreement with Intrado for the tsunami telephone alert system.
2. Agreement with the South Umpqua School District, in the amount of $10,856.16 per year, for the school resource deputy.
MISCELLANEOUS
1. Order appointing Susan Knight to the Hospital Facility Authority of Douglas County, term to expire October 19, 2008.
2. Order appointing Peggy Kennerly and Christina McMahan to the Local Public Safety Coordination Council.
