MINUTES of the board meeting of October 8, 2003 to be approved.
BID OPENINGS
1. Bid opening for radio control console system for Communications.
2. Bid No. 835 for one new trailer mounted straw blower.
COMMISSION ON CHILDREN AND FAMILIES
1. Contract with Umpqua Community Action Network in the amount of $15,000 for the Douglas County “Warmline” for fiscal year 2003-04.
FLEET SERVICES
1. Order rejecting all bids for one full size, ½ ton, 2 wheel drive pickup with short wide box and extended cab. The Oregon State Cooperative Purchasing Program price is approximately $772 less than the low bid which was opened September 17, 2003.
HEALTH AND SOCIAL SERICES
1. Agreement between Douglas County and the Reedsport School District to facilitate interagency cooperation related to providing mental health treatment in the schools.
LAND
1. Resolution setting a hearing date of November 5, 2003, regarding the relinquishment of title to seven parcels acquired through property tax foreclosure to the City of Roseburg.
2. Bargain and sale deed to the City of Reedsport for an undeveloped parcel off of Port Dock Road in Reedsport. This parcel was acquired through property tax foreclosure. There is no consideration.
PLANNING
1. Delegation of authority report by Planning Director, Keith Cubic.
SHERIFF
1. Modification of contract with the City of Roseburg for parking enforcement on county property. Modification changes rate to $18.50 per hour.
2. Extension of communications services contract for one year with the VA Hospital.
3. Order awarding RFP #820 for communication equipment shelter to Met Lab Inc., dba Shelter One. Total purchase amount is $40,330.
4. Order awarding RFP #821 for DC power system for the communications project to ELTEK Energy, LLC. Total purchase amount is $220,813.
MISCELLANEOUS
1. Order appointing Rick Sohn to the Museum Advisory Board. Term to expire June 30, 2005.
