MINUTES of the board meeting of October 5, 2005 to be approved.
ASSESSMENT & TAXATION
1. Orders refunding taxes to the following: Richard and Mary Slater, $586.86; Mr. Cash Corporation, $660.17 and $839.66.
COMMISSION ON CHILDREN & FAMILIES
1. Contract with Mercy Medical Center in the amount of $22,500 for fiscal year 2005-2006. This contract is to administer the Welcome Baby portion of Healthy Start.
2. Contract with CASA of Douglas County, Inc. in the amount of $22,500 for fiscal year 2005-2006.
3. Contract with Family Development Center (Parent Relief Nursery) in the amount of $217,435 for fiscal year 2005-2006.
4. Contract with Riddle School District, in the amount of $12,412 for fiscal year 2005-2006. This contract is to administer the after school program.
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
1. Compudyne Master Support Agreement for the software support of the Computer Aided Dispatch, Sheriff Records and Sheriff Civil systems. Annual cost $38,120. Also, Compudyne software license agreement for seven (7) software products for law enforcement systems.
PARKS
1. Annual RV grant application through Oregon Parks and Recreation Department. This application is for the replacement of the restroom/shower facility at Windy Cove “B”. Total funding for the project is $154,440. The required county match is $74,380 plus $2,840 of in kind services.
PLANNING
1. Delegation of authority report by Keith Cubic, Planning Director.
PUBLIC WORKS
1. Contract with Beckley Excavation & Utility, Inc. in the amount of $320,113.50 for Scott Henry Bridge approach embankment, Douglas County Road No. 9.
2. Contract with US Geological Survey in the amount of $203,060, for continuing cooperative data collection program.
3. Real estate option and order to accept a warranty deed from Canyonville Assembly of God and the Oregon District of the Assemblies of God for the acquisition of right of way for the widening and realignment of North Main Street, Canyonville, County Road No. 1. Consideration is $7,120.
4. Real estate option and order accepting a warranty deed from Arthur J. Rotter for the acquisition of right of way for the widening and realignment of North Main Street, Canyonville, County Road No. 1. Consideration is $3,975. plus escrow fees.
MISCELLANEOUS
1. Order reappointing members to the Smith River Watershed Council. Terms to expire March 1, 2007.
2. Order appointing a pool of members to the Board of Property Tax Appeals for the season 2005-2006.
3. Resolution adopting the Coos, Curry, Douglas Regional Investment Strategy for the 2005-2007 biennium.
