CITIZEN COMMENTS ON AGENDA ITEMS ONLY
1. ASSESSOR – Tax Refunds
Order refunding taxes to Charles Byers ($667.92) and Kevin & Karen Kohlman ($644.47).
2. COUNTY COUNSEL – County Approval of the United Community Action Network (UCAN) Emergency Shelter Grant Program
The Emergency Shelter Grant Program (ESGP) is funding to assist individuals and families who are homeless or at risk of being homeless remain in or obtain adequate housing. In addition, funding will assist with limited supplies for those who are homeless. Douglas County will receive approximately $51,062 to provide these services.
3. HEALTH DEPARTMENT – Amendment to Ambulance Service Franchise Agreement
Amendment to Ambulance Service Franchise Agreement for area #1 with Lower Umpqua Hospital District. Amends the insurance language to meet new limits of Oregon Tort Claims Act.
4. HUMAN RESOURCES – First Extension of Contract with Wellness 2000, Inc.
First Contract extension between Douglas County and Wellness 2000, Inc. the provider for Employee Assistance Program. The amendment increases the professional liability coverage to $1,000,000 single and $3,000,000 aggregate. The contract term ends August 31, 2011.
5. PUBLIC WORKS – Preliminary Order Approving Vacation of Property
Preliminary Order approving vacation of a portion of Upper Cow Creek County Road No. 36 without a hearing. Petitioners: Joseph F. Yetter III and Lee N. Yetter.
6. SHERIFF – Contract Modification
Contract modification between Douglas County and BLM for additional funding payable to Douglas County in the amount of $36,290 for patrol services on BLM land.
