4. BUILDING FACILITIES – Contract Extension (Janet Coleman)
First extension of Contract #30869 between Douglas County and Patterson Plumbing to extend term date to December 31, 2018.
5. COMMISSIONERS – Order (Commissioner Boice)
Order to establish the County Wolf Advisory Committee The purpose of the committee is to provide advice and guidance to the Board on issues related to wolves, including the interaction of wolves and livestock operations located in Douglas County.
6. COMMISSIONERS – Grant Agreement (Commissioner Boice)
Grant Agreement between Douglas County and District 6 Manpower Program, Inc. d/b/a Umpqua Training and Employment, Inc. for truck driver training program with Umpqua Community College.
7. JUSTICE COURT – Pro Tem Order (Judge Stephen Miller)
Order appointing Kathleen Miller as Justice of the Peace Pro Tempore for Stephen H. Miller (Reedsport JP) to serve in his temporary absence or other incapacity from September 5, 2018 through December 31, 2018.
8. PARKS – Order Authorizing Purchase (Rocky Houston)
Order Authorizing Purchase of one (1) Toro Groundmaster (Model #30345) with Pro Force Blower (Model #44549) from Western Equipment. Douglas County is authorized to purchase from the National Intergovernmental Purchasing Alliance (NIPA) via Contract #2017025. Total purchase price $27,578.66.
9. PLANNING – Planning Advisory Committee Reappointments (Keith Cubic)
Recommendation for 5 Planning Advisory Committee (PAC) Reappointments as follows: William Starns and Stephanie Morgan both to the Callahan PAC. Kittie Jo Coons and Joe Coons to the North County PAC. Jay Couron to the North Umpqua PAC.
10. PLANNING – Agreement Amendment (Keith Cubic)
Third amendment between Douglas County and Winston-Dillard Fire District; ASA #6 (franchisee), extending the agreement to January 31, 2024.
11. PLANNING – Agreement Amendment (Keith Cubic)
Third amendment between Douglas County and North Douglas County Fire and EMS; ASA #2 (franchisee), extending the agreement to January 31, 2024.
12. PUBLIC WORKS – Public Hearing and Order Declaring Transportation District Formed (Scott Adams)
Final public hearing and Order declaring the Douglas County Transportation District formed with boundaries generally continuous with the boundaries of Douglas County. First public hearing was held on August 15, 2018.
13. PUBLIC WORKS – Order Authorizing Purchase (Scott Adams)
Order Authorizing Purchase of one (1) 2019 Ford F250 XL 4X4 SD Crew Cab pickup from Landmark Ford of Tigard, Oregon. Douglas County is authorized to purchase from State Price Agreement Contract #5550 and purchase is exempt from competitive bidding. Total purchase price: $29,587.47.
14. PUBLIC WORKS – Order Authorizing Purchase (Scott Adams)
Order Authorizing Purchase of one (1) 2019 Ford Explorer Sport Utility 4x4 from Landmark Ford of Tigard, Oregon. Douglas County is authorized to purchase from State Price Agreement Contract #5550 and purchase is exempt from competitive bidding. Total purchase price: $29,463.86.
15. SHERIFF – Contract (John Hanlin)
Contractual Agreements for deputy patrols on timberlands for 23 timberland holdings. The Companies agree to pay Douglas County $196,795.20 for 1.5 FTE deputies to patrol their respective timberlands. Term dates of July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2019.
