PROCLAMATION – September 2012 National Recovery Month
MINUTES of the Board meeting held on September 5, 2012
CITIZEN PARTICIPATION FOR COMMENTS ON AGENDA ITEMS ONLY
1. INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY – Ocean Power Technologies Permit (Kevin Potter)
Ocean Power Technologies (OPT) desires to partner with the County to place appropriate shore communications equipment at the Douglas County Lighthouse Museum to receive input from a test buoy that they will be placing off shore to test ocean power technologies. This agreement is for 1 year at no cost.
2. PUBLIC WORKS – Contract with I.E. Engineering, Inc. (Robb Paul)
Contract with I.E. Engineering, Inc. in the amount (not to exceed) $217,130.00 for engineering services for the reconstruction of Old Highway 99 South (Happy Valley Road to OR-42).
3. MISCELLANEOUS – Appointments to the Board of Property Tax Appeals (Patty Hitt)
Appointments need to be made to the Board of Property Tax Appeals for the term October 15, 2012 to June 30, 2013. The positions were advertised with local media and five applications were received. Gregory Johnson, Diana Woodward, Craig Ferber, Fred Worsley and Rick Poland would like to be appointed.

The next regularly scheduled Board meeting will be held September 19, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. in Room 216 of the Douglas County Courthouse, Roseburg, OR.
