PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
MINUTES of the Board meeting held on August 17, 2011
CITIZEN PARTICIPATION FOR COMMENTS ON AGENDA ITEMS ONLY
1. BID OPENING – Fleet Services (Mike Blanck)
Bid #008 for nine (9) new mid-size, four door sedans, bid opening date was August 17, 2011. Bid was delivered to the courthouse August 16, 2011, but not received by the Board of Commissioners prior to the meeting.
2. COMMISSION ON CHILDREN & FAMILIES – Presentation (Gillian Wesenberg)
Presentation by the Boys and Girls Club on its tenth anniversary acknowledging its relationship with the Commission on Children and Families.
3. SHERIFF – Contract Amendment No. 6 with BLM (John Hanlin)
Contract amendment No. 6 with BLM for continued funding for patrol deputies. $32,000 additional funds to support patrol services.
4. SHERIFF – Contract Amendment (John Hanlin)
Amended contract for the housing of State Inmates. Extends current contract, increases number of beds available, and increases the contract cap. Cost is $73.20 per bed per day – no increase from prior year.
5. MISCELLANEOUS – Order (Paul Meyer)
Order approving the SWORC&D Peer Review Grant dated March 17, 2011. Overhead for the grant shall not exceed 10%. The Board will transfer the grant to OSU Extension.

The next regularly scheduled Board meeting will be held August 31, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. in Room 216 of the Douglas County Courthouse, Roseburg, OR.
