MINUTES of the Board meeting held on August 8, 2012
CITIZEN PARTICIPATION FOR COMMENTS ON AGENDA ITEMS ONLY
1. JUVENILE – Delegation of Authority (Aric Fromdahl)
Delegation of Authority to Aric Fromdahl to apply for and accept grant awards issued by the U.S. Department of the Interior and U.S. Department of Agriculture for the Juvenile Department Restoration Work Crew. The funding opportunities are offered through website solicitation and must be processed electronically.
2. MISCELLANEOUS – Resolutions in the Matter of Safety Net Payments (Doug Robertson)
Resolutions in the matter of the Federal Fiscal Year (FFY) 2012 Elections for National Forest Related Safety Net Payments, and for the FFY 2012 Elections for O&C Land Related Safety Net Payments. Three elections are outlined in the Resolutions: 1) election to receive the guaranteed minimum full County payment amount; 2) allocation of 15%of the County’s payment amount for expenditure on projects under Title II and Title III; and 3) of the percent allocated to Title II and Title III projects, Douglas County further allocates 8% to Title II projects and 7% to Title III projects. The resolutions outline percentage of funds to be allocated to the various Resource Advisory Committees.
