PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

MINUTES of the Board meeting held on July 31, 2013

CITIZEN PARTICIPATION ON AGENDA ITEMS ONLY

1. HUMAN RESOURCES – COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT (Michael Kurtz)
The Human Resources Director recommends that the Board of Commissioners enter into a three-year Collective Bargaining Agreement (July 1, 2013 to June 30, 2016) with the Teamsters Local Union No. 223. The terms and conditions of this agreement have been negotiated in good faith between both parties and have been ratified by the Teamsters Local Union No. 223 membership on July 31, 2013.

2. MISCELLANEOUS – REAPPOINTMENT TO ROAD DISTRICT (Doug Robertson)
A vacancy exists on the Humphrey Special Road District due to the expired term of Ervin Curry. Mr. Curry would like to be reappointed to a new term that would end December 31, 2015.

ADJOURNMENT AND NEXT MEETING
The next regularly scheduled Board meeting will be held August 14, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. in Room 216 of the Douglas County Courthouse, Roseburg, OR.

A copy of any audio/video recording is available upon written request made to the Information Technology department. Cost is $5 per cd/dvd copy plus $2 shipping costs.
