MINUTES of the Board meeting held on July 11, 2012
CITIZEN PARTICIPATION FOR COMMENTS ON AGENDA ITEMS ONLY
1. FAIRGROUNDS – Order Awarding Contract (Harold Phillips)
Order awarding the contract to Zerbach Construction, Inc. for the Douglas County Fairgrounds RV restroom. Cost: $198,550.00.
2. FAIRGROUNDS – Contract with Zerbach Construction, Inc.)
Contract with Zerbach Construction, Inc. for the Douglas County Fairgrounds RV restroom. Cost: $198,550.00.
3. LAND – Lease Extension (Gary Groth)
Ninth Extension of Lease with ADAPT for office space located at 1215 SE Court Street, Roseburg Oregon. Lease is extended through July 31, 2014. The rent remains at the current rate of $200 per month.
4. PLANNING – Remand Order (Keith Cubic)
Board Order to remand Chuck and Sandy Hester’s request for a Major Amendment to a previously approved Conditional Use Permit for a home occupation to the Planning Commission for a hearing on remand from LUBA. Planning Department File 10-024.
5. SHERIFF – Intergovernmental Agreement (John Hanlin)**** STRICKEN ****
Ninth extension of an Intergovernmental Agreement with the Glide School District to provide a school resource deputy. Revenue to Douglas County: $12,815.94.
6. MISCELLANEOUS – Appointment Order to Advisory Committee (Peggy Madison)
Vacancies exist on the Mental Health Advisory & Developmental Disabilities Advisory Council due to expired terms. The vacancies were advertised with Douglas County media and five applications were received. The Council recommends the appointment of Liz Talismon-Cady and Colleen Roberts to new terms ending May 1, 2013; Deanna Watson to a term ending May 1, 2014; and Thomas Baker to a term ending May 1, 2015.
7. MISCELLANEOUS – Reappointment to the Senior Services Advisory Council (Peggy Madison)
Two vacancies exist on the Senior Services Advisory Council due to expired terms. The positions were advertised with Douglas County media and applications continue to be received. The Council recommends the reappointment of Loretta Crosier (representing North County) and Cynthia Pringle (representing Health/Medical Care) to new terms that will expire June 30, 2015.
