CITIZEN PARTICIPATION FOR COMMENTS ON AGENDA ITEMS ONLY
ASSESSOR
1. Order refunding taxes to United Rentals Northwest in the amount of $6,546.39.
COMMISSION ON CHILDREN AND FAMILIES
1. Amendment #1 to Intergovernmental Agreement with the Oregon Commission on Children and Families for the Healthy Start Medicaid Administrative Activities for Douglas County 2007-09 biennium increasing the current amount of $52,000 to $104,000.
COMMUNICATIONS 911
1. Agreement for communications services for Winston Police Department for five years, effective July 1, 2008, with annual increases of 2% to 5%, in the amount of $68,310.45 paid to the County at the rate of $17,077.61 quarterly.
2. Agreement for communications services for Sutherlin Fire & Ambulance for five years, effective July 1, 2008, with annual increases of 2% to 5%, in the amount of $21,229.28 paid to the County at the rate of $5,307.32 quarterly.
3. Agreement for communications services for Glendale Ambulance for five years, effective July 1, 2008, with annual increases of 2% to 5%, in the amount of $2,686.59 paid to the County at the rate of $671.65 quarterly.
4. Agreement for communications services for Winston Dillard Fire & Ambulance for five years, effective July 1, 2008, with annual increases of 2% to 5%, in the amount of $18,283.24 paid to the County at the rate of $4,570.81 quarterly.
DINT
1. Modification and Fourth Extension of Contract No. 19668 with Brim Aviation for aviation services. This modifies the rates charged for various services: $725 per hour for helicopter flight time, $195 per day for fuel truck plus $.65 per mile; and extends the contact to December 31, 2008
PUBLIC WORKS
1. Contract with LTM, Inc. in the amount of $236,500 for crushing, hauling and stockpiling mineral aggregates for South District, Douglas County, Oregon.
2. Contract with LTM, Inc. in the amount of $452,750 for crushing, hauling and stockpiling mineral aggregates for Central District, Douglas County, Oregon.
3. Reduce the maximum speed of passenger vehicles from 55 mph to 45 mph, and reduce the weight limit of all trucks to 12 tons on Brown’s Bridge.
SHERIFF
1. Fourth Extension of Intergovernmental Agreement with the City of Myrtle Creek in the amount of $60 per inmate per day housed in corrections.
2. Extension of Oakland Veterinary Clinic (Countryside Veterinary Clinic) to provide licensing, spay and neutering services for another year.
3. Intergovernmental Agreement with the City of Winston in the amount of $60 per inmate per day housed in corrections.
4. Intergovernmental Agreement with the City of Roseburg in the amount of $60 per inmate per day housed in corrections.
MISCELLANEOUS
1. Order appointing Donna Arnold, Dan Strasser and Diana Corder to the Regional Workforce Investment Board. Terms to expire June 30, 2009.
