4. PUBLIC HEARING – Planning -- Second Reading of Ordinance (Keith Cubic)
Public Hearing on Ordinance 2016-02-02, updates of the Ambulance Service Area Plan to shorten the plan and assure consistency between the Plan and Ambulance Service Area Ordinance. If approved, the Ordinance will become effective on June 14, 2016.

5. PUBLIC HEARING – Planning -- Second Reading of Ordinance (Keith Cubic)
Public Hearing on Ordinance 2016-02-03, updates County Code Section 8.10, Ambulance Service Ordinance by adding definitions, clarifying duties and streamlining by referencing statutory provisions. If approved, the Ordinance will become effective on June 14, 2016.

6. BUILDING FACILITIES – Agreement (Kevin Potter)
Agreement with Roseburg Sister Cities for project work at the Douglas County Headquarters Library grounds. The agreement will be valid for five years and expire in March of 2021.

7. FLEET SERVICES – Order Authorizing Purchase (Robb Paul)
Approval to purchase an additional new Ford Explorer for the Sheriff’s Department from Power Ford. Price: $27,998.00.

8. PARKS – Grant Agreement (Gary Groth)
Grant Award from the Oregon Parks and Recreation for the construction of a new restroom/shower facility at the Windy Cove B Campground. Project estimate is $298,000.00. The grant award is in the amount of $140,500.00.

9. PARKS – Resolution (Gary Groth)
Resolution to apply for an Oregon Parks & Recreation Department Local Government Grant. If approved, the grant will be used to repair the crabbing and fishing dock at Winchester Bay. The total project cost is $425,500.00. The grant application is for $210,000.00.

10. PUBLIC WORKS – Donation Deed (Robb Paul)
Donation Deed conveying the Glendale Weigh Station to the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT). The Weigh Station property was vacated by Order of the Board of Commissioners on December 9, 2015 to facilitate conveyance to ODOT.

11. MISCELLANEOUS – Grant Agreement (Commissioner Boice)
Justice Reinvestment Grant Contract with Battered Person’s Advocacy for Douglas County Victim’s Services in the amount of $160,186.00. Contract term is October 1, 2015 to June 30, 2017.

NOTE – There will be NO Board meeting on March 23, 2016.

The next regularly scheduled Board meeting will be held March 30, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. in Room 216 of the Douglas County Courthouse, Roseburg, OR. The meeting is available via Video Conferencing to Reedsport citizens at the Reedsport Annex, 680 Fir Street, Reedsport, OR.

 

Douglas County may audio/video record the proceedings of this meeting for future broadcast or other purposes. A copy of any audio/video recording is available upon written request made to the Information Technology department. Cost is $5 per cd/dvd copy plus $2 shipping costs. Send a money order to: Douglas County Information Technology, 1036 SE Douglas, Room 123, Roseburg, OR 97470. Please include dates of requested dvd's or cd's and shipping address.
