MINUTES of the Board meeting held on February 13, 2013
CITIZEN PARTICIPATION FOR COMMENTS ON AGENDA ITEMS ONLY
1. COUNTY COUNSEL – Order Appointing Judge to Conduct Dog Hearings (Paul Meyer)
Order appointing Carol Roberts, Canyonville Justice of the Peace to conduct all hearings held under ORS Chapter 609 concerning dogs alleged to have chased, injured, wounded or killed livestock and all hearings under Douglas County Code Section 6.08.050 concerning potentially dangerous dogs.
2. DISTRICT ATTORNEY’S OFFICE – Grant Amendment (Rick Wesenberg)
Grant Amendment to award #4285 for “Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Measure 57 Intensive Drug Court Grant.” The Amendment extends the award period through June 30, 2013, and provides additional funds in the amount of $7,238.73.
3. FLEET – Order Authorizing the Purchase of One (1) New Truck – (Mike Blanck)
Order authorizing the purchase of one (1) new full size, four wheel drive crew cab pick-up with short wide box. The truck will be purchased from Ron Tonkin Chevrolet of Portland, Oregon under the Oregon State Price Agreement in the amount of $33,542.00.
4. HEALTH AND SOCIAL SERVICES – Intergovernmental Agreement (Peggy Madison)
Intergovernmental Agreement with Oregon DHS Aging and People with Disabilities Division to implement “The Enhanced Aging and Disability Resource Connection Options Counseling Program.” Allowable expenses up to $20,000.00. Term is January 1, 2013 to December 31, 2013.
5. HUMAN RESOURCES – Collective Bargaining Agreement (Michael Kurtz)
Two Year Collective Bargaining Agreement (July 1, 2012 to June 30, 2014) with the Douglas County Law Enforcement Association (DCLEA). The terms and conditions of the agreement have been negotiated in good faith between both parties and the agreed upon terms and conditions have been ratified by the DCLEA membership on February 5, 2013.

The next regularly scheduled Board meeting will be held February 27, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. in Room 216 of the Douglas County Courthouse, Roseburg, OR.
