MINUTES of the Board meeting held on February 1, 2012
CITIZEN PARTICIPATION FOR COMMENTS ON AGENDA ITEMS ONLY
1. HEALTH AND SOCIAL SERVICES – Delegation Order (Peggy Madison)
Delegation of Authority to Peggy Madison to enter into specified contracts on behalf of Douglas County and to engage in other specified activity.
2. INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY – Lease Agreement (Kevin Potter)
Amended Lease Agreement for “Gardiner Hill” radio communications facility site with Roseburg Resources Co., dated September 6, 2000. Roseburg Resources Co. seeks to assign the original contract to Rome Creek Timber, LLC as Lessor.
3. JUVENILE – Order of Appointment – (Aric Fromdahl)
Order appointing Aric Fromdahl as Director of the Douglas County Juvenile Department.
4. JUVENILE – Intergovernmental Agreement (Aric Fromdahl)
Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) between the State of Oregon and Douglas County for youth committed to the Oregon Youth Authority in the Douglas County Juvenile Detention Center’s 30-90 day program. This will eliminate the need for the individualized Oregon Youth Authority Client contracts. The charge for these services is $94.00 per youth per day. Potential revenue is $149,538 for the remainder of the Fiscal Year 2011-12 and 2012-2013 at an average of 3 Oregon Youth Authority youth per day.
5. LAND – Notice of Timber Sale (Gary Groth)
Notice of Timber Sale setting the date and time for the oral auction of three timber sales: Sutherlin Creek #286, Clear Eel #288, and Sparrow Park #PK006. The sale will be held March 8, 2012 in Room 216 of the Douglas County Courthouse.
6. PUBLIC WORKS – Contract for Personal Services (Robb Paul)
Contract for personal services with St. Vincent de Paul Society of Lane Co., Inc. for recycling mattresses from the Roseburg and Reedsport transfer stations.
7. PUBLIC WORKS – Contract (Robb Paul)
Contract with I.E. Engineering, Inc. in the amount not to exceed $50,000.00 for the Sutherlin Industrial Park Business Development Project.
8. MISCELLANEOUS – Resolution (Tracy Loomis)Stricken
Resolution authorizing submission of Roberts Creek Enterprise Zone boundary amendment.
