Birth Certificates for births that occur in Douglas County are kept at the County Health Department for the first 6 months of life then they are sent to Oregon Vital Records in Portland, Oregon. Certified copies can be purchased per phone request (have a credit card ready) at (971) 673-1190 or a written request can be sent to Oregon Vital Records P.O. Box 14050 Portland, OR 97293-0050. Fees are $20.00 for the first copy then $15.00 for each additional copy.
