MINUTES of the Board meeting held on January 16, 2013

CITIZEN PARTICIPATION FOR COMMENTS ON AGENDA ITEMS ONLY

1. FLEET SERVICES – Bid Award for (1) New 1 Ton, 15 Passenger Van (Mike Blanck)
Bid award to Hubbard Chevrolet of Hubbard, Oregon in the total amount of $26,784.35.

2. PUBLIC WORKS – Order Accepting Completion of Contract (Robb Paul)
Order accepting completion of contract for the reconstruction of Hastings Avenue, Douglas County, Oregon. The contract has been completed and all requirements have been met. LTM, Inc., dba Knife River Materials in the amount of $462,524.94.

3. PUBLIC WORKS – Order Accepting Completion of Contract (Robb Paul)
Order accepting completion of contract for the overlay of Garden Valley Road, County Road #6, mile post 7.40 to mile post 8.56. The contract has been completed and all requirements have been met. LTM Inc., dba Knife River Materials in the amount of $193,901.62.

4. PUBLIC WORKS – Local Agency Agreement (Robb Paul)
Local Agency Agreement with Oregon Department of Transportation for Emergency Relief Program on Eagle Valley Road, County Road #389.

5. SHERIFF – Emergency Management Grant (Wayne Stinson)
Grant Agreement for a 50/50 match program for up to 50% of County Emergency Management Program’s personnel and some materials and supply costs. Total budget and match: $278,102.00.

6. MISCELLANEOUS – Reappointment to the Douglas County Compensation Board
A vacancy exists on the Douglas County Compensation Board due to the expired term of Bill Leming. Traditionally, the Board has been comprised of the Budget Committee; therefore it was not advertised with Douglas County media. Bill Leming would like to be reappointed to another three year term that would end June 30, 2015.

The next regularly scheduled Board meeting will be held January 30, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. in Room 216 of the Douglas County Courthouse, Roseburg, OR.
