Douglas County, through the Land Department, conducts public auctions of tax foreclosed properties approximately once each year. Timing of the auction depends upon the availability of properties.

Most auction properties are small pieces and segments that may have value only to adjacent landowners, however occasionally parcels of significant value are sold.

The public may request that a tax foreclosed parcel be included on the auction list. Contact the Land Department to initiate such a request 541-440-4568.

Information regarding the surplus property auction is available approximately 30 days before the auction. To receive notice of an upcoming auction contact the Land Department at 541-440-4568 and request to be included on the auction mailing list.

The Land Department also has surplus properties listed for sale.
